Practice Charter

This practice aims to ensure:

• you will be seen by a doctor on the day of request if your need is urgent;

• you can expect to be given a routine appointment within 48 hours of request;

• you will be given a full explanation of your treatment;

• you will be seen within 30 minutes of your appointment or be given a reason for the delay;

• you will be listened to and treated with courtesy by all staff;

• you will be able to identify all staff by their name badges and staff will be happy to give you their names when taking your telephone call;

• your medical and personal records will be strictly confidential; and you are advised when the results of any tests will become available and how to obtain this information

We ask you to help us by:

• only requesting home visits if you are too ill to attend surgery;

• whenever possible, ring before 10.30 am if you require a home visit;

• giving 48 hours notice for repeat prescriptions

• cancelling your appointment if you are unable to attend;

• using our suggestion box if you have any comments regarding our service and would like to comment or complain as we are happy to address any dissatisfaction that you may have and are continually reviewing our procedures; and

• treating our staff with courtesy and consideration
