Additional Staff at Station Drive Surgery

Station Drive Surgery is delighted to announce that our teams of Healthcare Assistants, Nurses and Doctors have each been increased with a new member of staff!

The duties of our very busy Healthcare Assistants range from blood tests and ECGs to dressings and health checks. They have been joined by Linda McMahon, who is a very experienced HCA with many years of experience, and has most recently been working with the District Nurses. We are delighted that she has chosen to join our team here.

Gemma Austin has joined our senior nursing staff as our new deputy lead nurse, supporting our lead nurse Tonia Meyrick. Gemma has 17 years’ experience of working for the NHS. She has worked at the local hospital, has been a triage nurse in Australia, and most recently has been a Practice Nurse for several years. Gemma has a vast skills set and is highly qualified and keen to use these skills to make a difference to our patients.

And finally, Dr Mary Eardley will be joining our team of GPs! Dr Mary Eardley is an experienced GP with an interest in women's health and contraception. She is looking forward to joining our exceptional clinical team and will be available on Mondays and Thursdays from 13th September. Dr Eardley’s husband, Dr Kevin Eardley, runs Ludlow Hospital’s Dialysis Unit. We have always worked closely with Ludlow Hospital to support their vital services, and we hope that this is yet another link which will both strengthen our relationship with them and help to further secure the hospital’s future within our community.

The number of patients registered at Station Drive Surgery has been steadily increasing over time, and we are delighted that the new staff will help us to further expand our specialised services that support all our patients.
