GP Appointments

Healthwatch Shropshire have published their report about GP appointments at the 51 practices in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. 

We are VERY proud that the report shows Station Drive Surgery being the surgery who offers the MOST appointments available per 1000 patients!

Of those appointments, the breakdown showing how many of them were with a GP (compared to other clinical staff) found that we were second only to Shawbury Medical Practice in those appointments being with a GP. The report also showed that 70% of our appointments were within 7 days of booking.

The report was based on data from August 2023 and our appointment availability has not been affected despite us taking on full responsibility for medical support at Ludlow Hospital.
The demand on all GP Practices is at an unprecedentedly high level. We are proud that this report shows us to be responding well to the pressures and we hope this helps our patients be confident that we are doing our best to fulfil our key mission of “working together to provide great care”.
